Brief, Solution-Focused Counselling and Coaching for ADHD and mental health.

What to expect to begin ADHD counselling/coaching.

Session expectations

Daytime availability, Monday to Friday

After the email or video consultation, if you decide I might be a good fit, we will go ahead and book our first session together.

For individuals:

You will start by filling out an intake form that I will send to you electronically. After this, we will immediately book our first formal session together.

For couples seeking Emotionally Focused Therapy (separate from brief therapy and coaching services):

The first session will be a joint session. After this, I will meet individually with each partner. It is best if this occurs as close as possible between each appointment. After you have both met with me for an individual session, we will continue with our couple-sessions only. Sessions can occur weekly or bi-weekly depending on the needs and availability of the couple.

Fees

$180/50 minute session (Virtual) For INDIVIDUAL THERAPY and COACHING

$200/ 50 minute session (virtual) COUPLES (including individual “couple sessions”)

(Please note: approximately 10 minutes of sessions hour is made up of admin and scheduling of appt etc)

Therapy and coaching is an investment in your future. My recommendation to potential clients is that you consider the cost of therapy and plan for it. These conversations are not talked about enough upfront, but I encourage you to do so. For example, some individuals recognize that they must cap their expense on therapy after their benefits run out. They may be reluctant to discuss this with a therapist. However I feel this allows us to have planned closure for the work we will be doing together. I also urge you to check ahead of time that your benefits cover the services of a Registered Social Worker, also listed as “an MSW” (Master of Social Worker) on some insurance documents.

I ask clients to commit to a minimum of 6-10 sessions on a weekly/biweekly basis to get the most benefit out of your work and resources.
